Office 365 Group owner
In Groups under Office Admin Center,
Allow admins to display one or more of the following additional properties/columns:
- Created by
- Primary Contact - in cases where O365 Groups creation is limited to admins
- Department owner
This way, we can sort/filter groups that were created by a particular person or team instead of clicking each entry to find out Owners.
Atleast O365 admin should know who has created group.
Any further update on this Created By ? ManagedBy simply gives the Owner list but not the user who originally created it.
It's pretty funny that this facility was created with the rather low limit of 250 groups created per regular user, with no way to tell how many groups a user has created, and the only way to allow the user to create additional groups is to delete some of the groups he has previously created. If a user can't create groups anymore, maybe he has created his maximum or maybe it is something else, but who can tell?. If the number of groups created is being tracked, make it reportable, or better yet, get rid of the limit altogether.

Yes, definitely need to know this data, and to have it be preserved.
Out of votes, but supporting. Especially the "Created By".

It is IMPERATIVE that Microsoft offers a column with exactly who the original creator of a particular group/team site is. This information is not even visible via Powershell or SPO Site management powershell. IT is so frustrating to see the owners nut no the original creator. It even shows the original team site but not the original creator.

It would be nice if this was NOT part of the audit logging that only stays around for 90 days. And if the list of properties would include Owners, Created By, Last Activity, External Sharing Status, and associated apps (Teams, SharePoint Site, PowerBI Workspace, Planner, Stream, etc.. ) - being able to designate a contact or primary owner would also be helpful as stated in the original post as "Department Owner"

It would also be great if we can identify which groups have associated Teams.
