Allow managing user properties in Office 365 even when using Azure AD Sync
Currently when you have an Azure AD Sync to keep the passwords the same between On-Premise and Office 365 you lose the ablility to edit things like primary email addresses and alias' on users with mailboxes in Office 365. This becomes especially tedious when you are do not have a hybrid deployment and have to edit mailbox settings by changing attributes in Active directory on premise.
Also when uninstalling the last on-premise exchange it removes all the attributes and syncs a blank proxyAddress attribute to for each user to Office 365 (which is horrific) each of these addresses then needs to be manually restored.
I want to be able to manage users properties from Office 365 just like I would be able to if I didn't have an Azure AD sync. Can the sync tool be set to do passwords and identities only?

I need the O365 exchange admin the ability to writeback any settings to local AD just like the password writeback.
We want the O365 Exchange admin to feel like having an on-prem exchange server when every email related changes (alias, distribution groups, etc.) are made on the Exchange Console (Exchange Admin on O365 in this case) and not on the local AD server.
1000% agree. I'd like to see it support the ability to update simple things like title, department, phone number, etc as well.
