The ability to assign admin roles to security groups
In large environments (mine is 80,000 users!) it is necessary to have a the various admin roles split across several teams and personnel. To control this easier it would be great if I could use security groups from AD sync'd to AAD then assign the admin role(s) to the group instead of individually to users.
Security and Compliance Center roles can be granted to synched AD group via Powershell. Why can't same functionality be added to MS 365 Admin Center?
any update on this one ?

Has microsoft done anything with this?

when can we start using this feature? We are using RBAC and an IAM tool that controls and monitors permissions.
Yes, this is a really important feature.

This is absolutely needed.

Please make this happen Microsoft!
I agree. Has this gone anywhere? It's crazy to me that one has to log into the various Admin Centers in O365 and assign in some instances multiple roles to potentially multiple users vs. having the ability to use AD-synced groups nested in those roles.

I definitely agree with the benefit of this, I want to avoid going into O365 and changing roles assigned directly.
