Make it possible to change the country of the organisation
We have great trouble as we have "Poland" as our country in our organisation-profile and the VAT of our partner-companya in poland, and we can´t change that to "Germany" and to our VAT-No.
This should be possible what we see. A company could move to another country and so it should be possible to change a country and VAT for future (!) invoices.
Support tells me that the only actual way is to setup a new organization with our country, buy (!) the same stuff that we already have, backup anything localy in the old organization (wow, this means the whole Office365, Sharepoint and Azure stuff..., in a running organisation), and copy them to the new organization. I don´t see that we can do this, even if we get a refund for our already paid stuff.
Please have an indeed look what´s a realistic scenario for that.
We´re talking also about 2 EU-countries.

3 years, and no change..
Hi Adding my vote to this. Our tenant was set up by the US office years ago, and the UK head office joined the tenant 4 years ago but we still cannot change the address. Although we are not a big tenant in Microsoft's eyes, the logistics of having to move 140 mailboxes in 7 countries and 8 timezones just to change my address is idiotic. I'm not even asking to move the data (much as it would be nice), just the address. What if we closed our US office? We would have incorrect data in the tenant.

This needs to be addressed. Companies do move jurisdiction and having to setup an entirely new tenant isn't a great experience.
This should be top priority in the list of improvements for tenants.

It's a huge pain

Since 2016 our company has moved permanently from Greece to Romania. Since April 2016, our tax activities have been carried out in Romania. We have tried in the past to find a solution with other support desks to change the country of billing from Greece to the correct country that is Romania, so that the Office 365 invoice is issued to the correct tax information. We all alluded that our Tenant ID has been "locked" with the country of Greece.
At the same time, we try to buy various services but our Romanian VAT ID is not accepted because it is blocked the country as Greece and accepts only VAT ID of Greek formatting. To create a new tenant is not an option, because we have services operating since 2016, we operate with this tenant ID within the Partners Network program and none of Microsoft guarantee that the transition to a new Tenant will ensure the uninterrupted operation of our services. All problems will only be resolved by changing the country from Greece to Romania in our Tenant. What we want is to change the country from Greece to Romania.

FYI: There are existing suggestions for this, for example:
let it possible to switch to another country in o365 Admin Center

The ability to move geographic regions for tenants should be provided without having to use 3rd party software and Microsoft partners to accomplish this.
Yup, we need this - I completely mistakenly created an account this morning as US Islands instead of Untied States - Total accident, but having no way to change it, or contact support to get it changed seems crazy

same issue here, business now trading from uk and not ireland. microsoft tells me i have to cancel one subscription and start another ??? surely this should be sorted!!!!
Let's bundle our votes in this thread: https://office365.uservoice.com/forums/273493-office-365-admin/suggestions/11214702-add-ability-to-change-country.
It has more votes, perhaps MS will look at it sooner... (if at all)
When I first opened the 365 account for my company (which is legally based in Portugal) the company did not yet have a Portuguese credit card or other payment method. So I entered my personal swiss address and used my personal credit card to pay for subscriptions. But as soon as the company in Portugal had a bank account and credit card I needed to switch over, and it was a nightmare to do so. I waited months before doing it just because I didn't have time which I knew the operation was going to require. And for all those months I had to pay for the company's subscriptions using my personal credit card, and I can never expense that 1 year of Microsoft bills to the company as the address is Switzerland and not Portugal. Those expenses are therefore not tax deductible. In addition, the actual process was a nightmare. It had lots of steps, lots of them manual, and several of which my employees had to do themselves, on their laptops. I could not do them for them. What a huge waste of unproductive time. At least the microsoft service team tried their very best to help. Come on Microsoft, make it easy to change the address on the subscriptions!!!
We are Microsoft Partner. One of our local customer came to us for support. Someone from Europe sold them office 365 licenses through one of European country.
Their office is located in asia. All their data is in Europe. They want to change it to their actual country of Business but cant do it. If it was just Office 365 it was still ok they have Dynamics 365 also.
Why Microsoft puts partner selling regions when they can not enforce it.
It is by law nearly impossible to get a credit card in Nepal, therefor I want to use a European-based credit card to start using O365, but as long as the country field cannot be changed we are not able to start using O365...

I've just ran into this issue as well. Changing payment method as centralising payments back to the USA from United Kingdom. I am utterly flabbergasted that this isn't possible to do. I would have never have migrated my client to O365 if I had known of this limitation in advance.
This is going to have massive consequences in terms of trust and ongoing service with this particular client of mine.
Needless to say, I will not be migrating anyone else to O365 until this is no longer a limitation of the service.
Same problem for me, moved from UK to Australia and no way u to remove the incorrect VAT for invoices or change address on my domains , once my UK credit card expires no way of paying for my subscription , will look for alternatives .... unbelievable !! come on Microsoft pull your finger out
I was in the UAE for work and now relocated back home to Australia. I need to change my country to Australia. How can I do this?
Same for me with 3 domains - I'm in Switzerland but all 3 domains still have UK addresses and payment restriction. Very frustrating. With Brexit and warnings about .EU domains no longer able to have UK addresses there must be a huge number of businesses affected by this limitation.
