Cached shared mailbox - cannot search
When searching on a cached shared mailbox in Outlook 2016 no results are returned unless selecting the current folder option.
If cached mode is turned off for the shared mailbox search is more accurate but performance is far slower.
We need the search in cached mode for shared mailbox to be fixed. It works in cached mode for individual user mailbox

This is an urgent requirement as our users use this function continually searching shared mailboxes and subfolders for items other team members work on. They cannot run in non cached mode as their internet connection is not large enough to allow all of the mailboxes to work online and there is no alternative to get a larger connection speed. I would have expected better from Microsoft as most users would expect if you search all mailboxes that is exactly what it would do no matter how it is configured for offline or online.
This is a ridiculous limitation. Why can't we have nice things Microsoft? When the drop-down menu says "All Mailboxes" I want it to search ALL MAILBOXES.
Yes this is a big issue trying to search the 4 other Exchange accounts shared with me. It is impossible to obtain accurate data when answering inquiries or researching data. This is a critical function that is needed for those who use shared mailboxes.

Been working with Outlook for 20+ years and I've never seen this problem until now. I have my own account and then 5 other Exchange accounts shared with me that I'm responsible for searching, keeping up with responses, and knowing what has been previously communicated. As a new employee of the company, I am spending an inordinate amount of time searching for emails to keep from misstating something or making statements that are not congruent with prior communication to clients and potential clients. Plus, I've spent over 2.5 hours with your Office 365 Outlook tech support only to learn that this is a known issue. If it's known, then please fix it!!! Searching Outlook is imperative in my new job role! Fix it or give me a workaround.
Yes this is affecting multiple clients for us. After spending several weeks of having a case open with Microsoft, I get send a link to this post saying vote for it and Microsoft may get to it. Microsoft please consider this an issue and either provide feedback and let us know you are working on it. Also please educate your support staff that this is an issue, and not to waste our time trying work arounds like turning off cached mode.

Search in more than current folder in shared Mailbox is really needed by end-users. Having this option only when administrator grants full access to shared Mailbox is not enough, since in real life people often just share certain folders with others and not full mailbox.
