Data location - reopen Microsoft offer to transfer data center to Canada only
Data location - reopen offer to transfer data center to Canada only. Oct 31 deadline was too short to respond
It's closed again in 2020. Just started a new job. If it's possible, why not love all accounts or leave the option open.
This should be open to transfer to any data centre. There is more of a need to move the data

Agreed, the deadline wasn't well publicized and there is no option for existing tenants other than to delete all their data and start over.

I can't believe there isn't an easy way to do this one year after the initial "offer" expired! I just inherited an operation which needs to respect Canadian privacy laws, but was configured in the North America Microsoft data center. I can foresee every Canadian based business wanting to be moved into the appropriate region eventually (GDPR and Patriot Act issues), not just those deemed worthy for notification (and removal) of the initial offer.

I agree, I only noticed this was possible after the deadline has passed, there has to be a way to do this without having to manually recreate everything, even if it is a paid service...
I am having the same issue with the Australian datacentre. Microsoft need to re-open the request window as it was not very well publicized and for some customers if they add services to their Office 365 tenant their requirements can change - eg moving from email protection to a full exchange online configuration. In one instance data is not really stored so its less of an issue where the data is located.
