Reporting and/or monitoring for OneDrive client sync status.
A report or monitor that shows OneDrive sync client health status would give support teams the tools to remediate file-sync issues before they turn into data-loss issues.
As it stands, the only visibility we have into OneDrive sync health (Groove or Next-Gen client) is to ask users to self-report when they see a sync error. This is difficult to do in a small environment, and near impossible in large environments.

Nothing says 'enterprise ready' quite like 'silent failures'. Please please add some sort of health/status reporting capability so we can identify and remediate OneDrive sync issues when then occur!

Please confirm if/when someone will look at this? This is.not a good way to treat customers.

The ability to redirect user folders is a great idea, but we've had many instances where the OneDrive client stops syncing files or never starts because some file is incompatible and needs to be deleted.
We must have a way to monitor health if we're going to use this a true backup solution in an enterprise.

Why can't specific status and events be logged in the event log?

Can’t stress enough how critical this is with the folder backup options.

It could be useful having a central monitor Panel that shows the date of Sync/last access for each user and furthermore the sizing of the folder

I have been working on a monitor using Powershell. I am looking for 2 things. Is the sync time greater than the desired amount. Is the sync client "UpToDate" but sharepoint is not. If anyone has any recommendations on what to look for it would be appreciated.

there has to be a way to make a tool such as the Synchronization Service Manager for AD connect which even in the old days as DirSync was such a great tool..make something like this for onedrive at least so it can send us notificaitons when there's an issue. If you didn't know the whole OneDrive sync tool gets blocked for a simple file that's got issues syncing so if you're making it so sensitve at least make it easier for us Admins to have more visibility to such issues.

Please add this feature asap! This is a must to make sure, that all data is synchronized and thereby save on SharePoint, because some users don't take care about sync conflicts which inevitably leads to data loss. If you really want to replace fileservers with SharePoint/OneDrive to work completely in the cloud, this functionality is mandatory.
Thanks! -

Onedrive as a service is possible using workaround however would expect next Windows 10 to have built in. We are going fully cloud right... Microsoft? That's what you want... right? Let's get this sorted.
