This is not about adding a feature and more about releasing required code.
All the reasons have been listed previously for adding this feature. Please provide an update.

The new Office 365 Secure Score service (https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/office365security/new-security-analytics-service-finding-and-fixing-risk-in-office-365/) gives 50 points if you enable MFA for all global admins. Global admins are highly likely to be running Powershell. MFA support in Powershell when connecting to Exchange Online is becoming vital.
