Send Office 365 Password Expiry Reminder Email Notification
Office 365 as of right now doesn't have a feature that enables users to get notified if their passwords are on the verge of getting expired. I know there's a notification that appears, but our organization needs the email notifications. If you guys can help us out it would really appreciated.
- Mobile users need an email notification or pop-up.
- Send multiple emails e.g. 2 weeks before expiry and 2 days before

Thank you to everyone taking the time to vote on this ask. Our security best practices recommend not making passwords expire and our focus is around this policy at the moment. You can read more about it in these two documents:

Absolutely needed, we don't get any notifications (may be a Mac Outlook problem) so account lockout hits all users every cycle, which is annoying

An email notification to users before their password is about to expire would be beneficial. Maybe give admins the choice of notification window, email notification and both.

Hi, this is a necessity for our organisation. I administrate over 100 email accounts and get calls every time the passwords have expired. My users ask is there no way to get a warning before the password has expired. These are company emails and sometimes the users think that their email has sent but it is stuck in the inbox because the password has expired.

Using a third party mail client means you seemingly don't get any notification and are suddenly unable to send or receive. managing a team of less technical individuals this can cause quite a panic when it happens without warning. An email to users before expiration would be a far better solution than an Outlook specific popup. Cheers

Currently, the popup notification isn't working for our clients, but even if it was, our customers would still prefer to receive an email notification. Thank you.

That would really be helpful. Many people who aren't into tech just ignore/cancel the pop ups and never think about them again. They are too busy trying to do their day to day tasks. An email is something people have to review at least minimally. I think if an end user sees an email from Microsoft they will take note and read it or ask someone in the office they trust if it's important.
IMPORTANT: When you implement this feature, please get feedback from users on how the email should be laid out. (Subject line, text in bold or colors, etc.) Thanks! -
