  1. Fix Syncing of Extension Custom Attributes

In on premise exchange these attributes are used as mutli-value attributes for building dynamic distribution groups. Azure AD Connect sees them and says it syncs them but the values never get into O365. This severely limits dynamic distribution group design.

  2. Change SharePoint Online tenant name

Due to "technical issues" we cannot change the .onmicrosoft.com tenant name; however, companies change names and merge constantly and instead of migrating from one tenant to another, the only thing that truly needs to be updated is the .sharepoint.com subdomain. A great feature would be to allow a change to this subdomain so that corporate alliances could be reflected with a better subdomain.

  3. Option to disable Flow and PowerApps

I really need an option that will disable Flow and PowerApps for all sites within a site collection while retaining the "new experience" for libraries and lists. Ideally, the option to enable/disable Flow is a separate from enabling/disabling PowerApps.

Management has requested from me to remove these options, but I cannot do that without removing the "new experience" that our users have grown accustomed to and prefer. Flow and PowerApps provide new functionality that we cannot support at this point in time and is not part of our SharePoint Online training and rollout plan.

  4. SharePoint Online Video Admin need visibility/control of site collections created through Video App - currently only visible to Global admin

Current state: SharePoint Online Admins can only view SharePoint Online Site Collections Created through SharePoint app. O365 Video admins can only see Portal Settings, but not individual channel settings.

Problem: If there is a SharePoint issue with a SharePoint site collection created through the Videos app, the SharePoint administrator or the O365 video admin cannot support it; and a global admin has to be bothered. When planning for resource and storage allocation, the SharePoint administrator cannot consider site collections created through videos.

Recommendation: Provide an Office 365 Tenant Admin role that can view SharePoint site collections created through the Video…

  5. Set varying password expiration policies for user groups.

Kindly update the password expiration policies so they apply to user groups. For example IT group will have 90 day password expiration policy whiles the Finance group will have a 30 day password expiration policy.

  7. Spelling Mistake

[IE11] Spelling mistake in Office 365 Admin panel. Select active user with license for Exchange Online. Turn on automatic replies, and you are presented with an option to "Send automatic replies to all enxternal senders"

    "enxternal" should be "external".

  8. Azure AD Sync - to sync OU's and contacts bidirectionally

The following assumes Azure AD Sync with no Exchange server
(A recent migration from on-prem Exchange to O365 for the sake of freeing up a server and it's associated maintenance has discovered inherant issues wihch have created logistical issues).
    1. Contacts should be able to sync bidirectionally when sync-back is enabled
    2. Objects in O365 should have an Organizational Unit attribute to match with on-prem AD
    3. DL's when synced to O365 should have the ability to have new contacts created in O365 added to them, currently the DL from on-prem must be deleted and recreated in O365 and all…

  9. Allow GUI based name changes in hybrid environment

We processed a name change for a client employee. We made the change to the on-premise Active Directory, then ran DirSync to bring it to O365. After the change, we did not have the ability to edit the userid to the new email address, it was greyed out, nor could we add an alias and make it primary, it was also greyed out. We resolved the issue by running a Powershell command, but it's the kind of change that happens frequently, and should have been permitted in the GUI.

  10. Inbound connector does not allow same range of domain names and the Outbound connector

When configuring connectors to secure emails with business partners using TLS the Intbound connector does not allow the same range of domain names that the Outbond connector does. This makes no sense as you would want to secure the exact same domain names for both inbound and outbound. Current limitation for Inbound is 2243 bytes and this limit is driven from an AD property.

  12. When a former user email account has been removed their should be the option in Exchange to forward any incoming messages for that account

When a user has left employment and their email account has finally been removed, there should be an option to forward incoming email for that account to an alternative email address for a set limited period set by the IT Team or specified by their former manager. Or the option of a message to say the persons email address is no longer valid and to use an alternative specified email address.

  13. Need the shared mail box stats included in the main stats.

Need the shared mail box stats included in the main stats. The current stats does not make any sense as it does not give the full picture of the real adoption and usage, as it is only a subset of the real usage. Hence need this feature if we are to continue using this product.

  14. Change the sending behaviour

If ExchangOnline sends an E-Mail to an recipient, who uses greylisting he get's the first time rejected with a temp error. Everything fine and ok so far. For the next try EXO uses another sending IP address and get rejected again. Triplet is unknown again. This can last over 24h and is not acceptable. Please please sleep a night about this and e.g. remember the IP the mail was send last time.

  16. Visibility of delegate can see private items

As an admin I have been asked to check senior management mailboxes for delegates in particular to see if delegates can see private items.

It is not currently possible to see this information from a power shell command or from EMC.

  17. Allow the online archive to auto map for shared mailbox

Create a CmdLet to switch On or Off visibility of the Online Archive for Shared Mailboxes in the Outlook client, when Users are given access via Security Group.

At the moment the only way Users will get an Online Archive for a Shared Mailbox is if they are explicitly added to the permissions of a mailbox. Or access the Shared mailbox via the Outlook Web App.

If you are given Full Mailbox access to a Shared Mailbox by being a member of a Security Group, the Online Archive will not be displayed when the Shared mailbox is attached to the…

  19. Allow option in Exchange online to hide Distribution List members from viewing to users

There should be an option in Exchange online to hide Distribution List members from viewing to users as this capability is available in On Premises Exchange through Active Directory (by going into Distribution List property > Attribute Editor > HideDLMemberShip > True

  20. When setting up an Identity Verification App, give the user the option to turn on 2 step verification

What's the point of an identity verification app without 2 step verification? I (wrongly) assumed that I had set up 2 step verification after setting up the id verification app. At least encourage the users to set up 2 step verification if you don't do it for them!
