  1. Skype and Skype for Business Recipient Group Permissioning

To be honest, it feels like we I.T. people have just been dealt an interesting problem in the form of everyone now getting Skype and Skype for Business. Skype can be a great means of collaborating with co-workers, customers and potential customers. It can also be used to be completely unproductive by chatting with friends and others outside of business during work hours.

I.T. should be able to add contacts into an approved group and then Skype and Skype for Business should only have conversations with the members of that group. In fact--given that bandwidth costs money--there should be a…

  3. Allow Contacts to be Hidden from GAL

Allow contacts (from outside the domain) to be hidden from the address book. It sounds counter-productive, but I ran into a situation where I wanted to add an outside user to a distribution list, but not show in the GAL. The user had both an internal and external email address and I didn't want to confuse users.

  4. Lock Right Window Pane when in Manage Domains

In the O365 Admin Portal it would be nice to see the right window pane locked when Managing Domains. We have over 100 domains in our tenant and if you need to manage a domain that is not on the first display screen you need to scroll down select the domain and then scroll back up to select the "Domain Setting", "Find and fix issues" or "Remove Domain". Locking that right window would make managing any domain much easier.

  5. Bulk add option using CSV to existing In-Place hold Policy.

    https://community.office365.com/en-us/f/148/t/355690 -

We have a challenge in adding users in bluk to In-Place hold Policy without removing existing users. As of now we dont have option for bulk adding in UI & even in Power shell. Please look into this feature

  6. Manage O365 app menu and service visibility centrally

We need to control when new services like Sway, Delve, Power BI, Video, etc. become visible to end-users in the App menu and in the portal.

Services hosted in US are illegal for many to use in EU, but if we turn them off they don't work but are still visible to end-users. This causes our service-desks to flood with incidents.

  7. Add Ability to Restore Email Aliases

We need the ability to restore email aliases. It is easy to accidentally erase all via PowerShell and the aliases are critically important.

  9. Allow Admins to customize microtexts in the language packs

Quite a few microtexts on e.g. buttons in the German language pack are confusing or grammatically incorrect. The Admin should have the ability to change them individually and permanently (i.e. updates do not overwrite existing changes).

  11. Process mail flow rules first

If an employee leaves the company then we archive the mailbox to PST and unlicense the account but the employer wants to redirect the emails so we would like to create a mail flow rule to do this for easier management but emails are rejected with a reason of "Unknown TO address" so Office 365 must be checking the list of email addresses in Exchange but not the mail flow rules.

  12. SharePoint Save as a Template

The current limit for the size of a template is 50 MB. However, if you would like to save with content this limit essentially negates this option. Why not allow users to save with content not to exceed the users full storage limit which would allow for contents up to 50% of that limit?

  13. New Feature: Automatic Replies for an organization (for holidays etc.)

Today users can setup automatic replies which works great. It would come in handy though to have the ability to setup the same on a global scale for an organization for holiday(s) etc. Right now, this is something that we could use today as we are closed on Holiday(s) and would like to auto respond to our customers when we will be available to help them.

  14. Implement centralized mailboxes

The majority of our organizations want to use a centralised mailbox for a certain type of correspondence so that all emails to AND from a generic email address (accounts@, info@, support@, etc) are stored in one location regardless of the staff under employment.

As far as I'm aware, there are two options for this kind of usage:
    1. Shared mailboxes deployed remotely via Full Access and Send As permissions.
    a. Pros:
    • Shared mailboxes do not require a license.
    • Access to a shared mailbox via Outlook or Outlook Web Access can be easily and remotely granted or revoked via…

  15. Out of Office / responder for distribution groups

Please add a simple way (enduser) to enable auto responders for distribution groups. At the moment it's only possible for mailboxes, which is too limited.

  16. Infopath

Infopath does not allow one to design a form and distribute it without buying an Infopath license for all users. This makes the application less useful for small organizations. Why not choose a path similar to Adobe Acrobat which allows a licensed user to create documents and distribute them to others without a license? This would essentially mean providing Infopath Filler for free.

  17. SharePoint Navigation Option

When using a Team site template the ability to use drop down menus for sub-sites is not readily available. One must first enable Publishing functions before the Navigation option appears in the admin features. Why is this not immediately available to the Team site template? This is such a useful feature, but hard to find as currently configured.

  18. Allow Sharepoint Admin Center settings to be administered via PowerShell

Currently Sharepoint Online powershell allows you to administer user profiles on a very limited basis - you cannot for example delete a user profile from Sharepoint Online - you must do this manually in the Admin Center. it would be nice if all admin center settings could be changed in PowerShell, including site quotas, removal / synchronization of user profiles, etc.

  19. Enable sent items rules

I currently have set up a number of inbox rules in O365 Exchange which move emails into Inbox subfolders according to who has sent them. This works fine.

I have attempted to setup similar rules for messages I send to recipients to move to Sent Items subfolders without success.

IMAP accounts on both Outlook for Mac 2011 and 2015 Preview clients work without a problem.

    Please introduce this functionality.

  20. Restore the service that was downgraded in SharePoint

The product group reduced SharePoint functionality by reducing the storage quota options for site collections. This is a severe negative impact on our business. We must be able to create site collections with storage quotas < 1 GB. Stop taking away SharePoint features and functionality. The product team is steadily making this platform unusable.
