  1. Request Exchange hybrid key for Exchange Server 2019 activation with Hybrid Configuration Wizard (HCW)

Actually it is not possible to obtain a free Exchange Server 2019 activation with a hybrid key. For earlier Exchange Versions this works trough HCW, but not with Exchange 2019: "Please note that HCW does not provide a 'hybrid key' for Exchange Server 2019. If you need a hybrid key, the latest version that it is available for is Exchange Server 2016."

This is not customer friendly at all - so please add Exchange 2019 to this feature.

  2. Exchange Online Powershell with Service Principal

I'd like to run the exchange online powershell with a service principal. The use case is easy - we're running a background service setting some specific configuration on user mailboxes and don't want to use an admin account for that. It's sad this is not on the graph directly possible but at least make SPNs available for use with Exchange Powershell.

  3. Configure Preferences for Report Message Add-In

The Report Message Add-In can be deployed centrally but there should be a method to control the settings/preferences in it centrally. For example, set the default option for reporting preference (e.g. always send, never send, ask every time). This should be configurable somewhere (e.g. registry key, GPO, Centralized Deployment manager, Exchange Online policy, etc. The default to ask every time is not the setting we want for our organization, but there is no way currently to reconfigure the default. Please reconsider this.

  4. Keep the New-MoveRequest cmdlt remained

We are aware of the decommission of the New-MoveRequest cmdlt as per the message center announcement: MC206405, but we would like to keep using it. This cmdlet is very useful as a workaround for some problems such as the OOF delay on the room mailbox. So it would be great if you can keep it remained or provide us any other alternative method for New-MoveRequest.

  6. Enable DKIM for Office 365 Home with custom email domain

The Office 365 Home subscription allows you to use your your own email domain. However, there is no option to enable DKIM and without it, outgoing email often ends up in the recipient's Spam folder, making the custom email domain capability useless.

Please expose the DKIM setting on the UI for O365 Home subscribers.
The feature itself is already implemented and available in the Business edition, but requires the Admin panel which does not exist in Office 365 Home.

  7. Require TLS Fallback Automatically to OME

When sending e-mails out with sensitive content, we can currently use a Transport Rule to detect said content (Sensitive Info Types) and take an action. Would like to be able to create a transport rule that first does "Require TLS." However, if TLS is not supported by the receiving server, have Office 365 automatically fail back over to OME and send out the e-mail securely that way. With Require TLS, if the receiving server doesn't support TLS, the user has to wait to find out that their e-mail did not go through. They also have to resend the e-mail manually.…

  8. Office365 - Multiple Domains - Shared mailboxes with common start (ie sales@)

Office365 - Multiple Domains - Shared mailboxes with common start (ie sales@).

When you have a single office365 installation that has multiple domains, it is not possible to create the same prefix of an email (ie before the @ sign) for shared mail boxes on the different domains.

For example, if I want to have sales@ on Domain1.com, Domain2.com and Domain3.com, I could successfully create sales@Domain1.com but when I try to create sales@Domain2.com I get an error about the alias already being used.

This has been touched on a number of sites, here is one:

  9. Option to disable "Popular Around Me" in OneDrive

In OneDrive (on the web) --> Shared, there is a new section at the top of the page labeled "Popular Around Me".

OneDrive admins should be able to disable this feature at the tenant level or per user or group.

    It currently cannot be disabled.

  10. Updating user contact information, phone numbers now require a "valid format"

Recently I have spent sometime updating user contact information in our office 365 system. I have been using the new admin centre and for some reason it was decided that a phone number now has to follow a "valid format" or else it won't let you save the updated information. This "valid format" appears to mean that no spaces are allowed in the phone number.

Now, the reason that this is an issue is because of how we typically format phone numbers in the UK. For mobile numbers, the most popular method is 5 digits, a space and then 6…

  11. Features to detect and check workflow errors

    *English follows Japanese
    ■Title(件名):
    ワークフローのエラーを検知、確認する機能
Features to detect and check workflow errors

    ■Description(内容):
    ワークフローで予期せぬエラーが発生した際、実行結果からエラーを確認することになります。
    実行毎に当該ワークフローからエラーを確認するのでなく、ワークフローのエラーを検知および確認ができる機能の拡充を希望します。
    ワークフローで事象が発生した際、事象の改善確認を行う場合などにおいて当該ワークフローの再実行が必要となり、本番環境に影響が及ぶため、ワークフローを実行せずともエラーを検知するような機能が実装されると利便性の向上が期待できます。
When unexpected errors occur in workflow, users need to find the execution results to check for errors.
We hope that features to detect and check workflow errors can be implemented instead of having to check the errors from the relevant workflow on every execution.
When something happens in workflow, the relevant workflow needs to be executed again when confirming that the situation has improved etc, which affects the production environment. Therefore if a feature that can detect errors without executing the workflow is implemented,…

  12. Add wildcard feature to making searching easier in the Office 365 admin center

We have a couple of clients that have over 1000 accounts and 200 dist lists. It would be so much easier to find what we are looking for if there was a wildcard feature in the search bar, such as * or %

  13. Remove case sensitive searches for shared mailboxes and permissions

Over the last month or so case sensitive searches have been added into the shared mailbox and permissions sections on the Office 365 admin page. Could these be reverted back or was there a reason for case sensitive searches being added?

I had weeks of no results coming back until I spoke to Microsoft Support who also have the issue and they noticed it is now case sensitive.

  14. Don't deprecate Search-Mailbox in EXO

"Note : In cloud-based environments, the Search-Mailbox cmdlet is being deprecated in favor of New-ComplianceSearch"

Replacing the capability of Search-Mailbox with the new ComplianceSearch and ComplianceSearchActions cmds is a terrible user experience and moves a single step process to a multi-step process with manual intervention. If this functionality is to go away for good, this will severely hinder our ability to execute requests in a timely and efficient manner.

I would argue that these are different use cases and can easily co-exist in the tenant.

O365 is supposed to be in the business of streamlining processes with efficiency, not convoluting…

  15. Option to Enable auto hide Email Address from GAL when the Account is disabled in AD

Curtently we are doing this manually with powershell. However if there is an option to automate this task it would be very easy. Once a user account is disabled there is a need to hide the user email address in GAL. It would be a useful feature for all if the option is available.
The command to do this manually is below. Thankyou

    Get-User -RecipientTypeDetails UserMailbox | where {$_.UseraccountControl -like “accountdisabled”} | set-mailbox -HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled $true

  16. Create Message Trace Role or Permission (RBAC)

Please add a 'Message Trace' role group or built-in RBAC that only provides users access to perform message trace within Exchange Online / Sec & Compliance portal. We've tried to create a custom RBAC to achieve this, and the custom RBAC allows users to perform basic message traces and to request extended or enhanced message trace reports. However the user still isn't able to download the extended/enhanced message trace reports. According to MS support the built-in 'View-Only Recipients' role is required to download the reports... We need more granular permissions that provide full access to all message trace features without…

  17. Add sender address in disclaimer

Phishing emails are on the rise where Sender's name is used to lure recipients into trusting spam. We would like to prepend a disclaimer for emails originating outside the domain and add the sender's real email address to it. We have programmed the disclaimer but have been told by Microsoft tech. support that it is by design that sender's info is not available to be added to disclaimers.

  18. Tenant Level 3rd Party App Control

It would be nice if we could utilize a tenant-wide local app catalog. Since 3rd party apps can be added in several places like Outlook, Groups, SharePoint, and Teams, it would be nice to allow end-users to browse apps from all of those locations but require them to request an app so the admin can review their request and determine if the functionality they are looking for already exists in the M365 suite or if what they are looking for is truly unique and should be installed/purchased for the tenant. That control should be within the Admin's control so we…

  19. Export New-ComplianceSearchAction results to target mailbox

Given this situation, as a workaround, it is recommended to run following command to export the search result to .PST file and then you can import the .PST file to the target mailbox:

New-ComplianceSearchAction -SearchName "124" -Export -SharePointArchiveFormat SingleZip

After further confirm with our senior engineer, there is no corresponding TargetMailbox para in New-ComplicanceSearch to match the copy feature. We apologize for the inconvenience this issue has brought.
