  1. Demand to create an alert event such as "Failed user login"

    Hi,

We would like to ask a demand to create an alert event such as "Failed user login".

At the moment, you can't create such an alert activity as this because such a category/event doesn't exist in the list. This point has been confirmed to us by O365 support.
The only way to see such an event is throufgh the security and compliance center by auditing an account manually.

In circumtances such as brute force attack or attempt to hack an account, it will be extremely useful for an admin to receive such an information to take appropriate action.

    Thank…

  2. Migrate mailboxes from one Office 365 Tenant to another Office 365 Tenant.

Migrate mailboxes from one Office 365 Tenant to another Office 365 Tenant. Please make the feature available in Office 365 for better and smooth migration of mailboxes from One Tenant to another Tenant in Office 365.

  3. Read only version of the Tenant Admin account.

I would like to have a Read only version of the tenant admin. This is great to give to security to do there audits as well as anyone doing there checks on settings for audit purposes.

Buy having this you dont need to give full tenant R/W access to staff that dont really need it or know what they are really doing. All the Get commands work but not the set commands..

  4. Allow us to increase the size of the junk mail/ safe sender list

Allow us to increase the size of the junk / safe sender list. It was possible to do previously with local exchange servers and has impacted users when they are used to working one way and suddenly have to change once they reach this limit. The limit is based off 2003 exchange server limitations and we would rather be able to increase and and roll it back if performance is effected instead of not being able to have the option to change it at all.

  5. Enable Transport Rule action for Distribution Group

In Exchange Online or EOP, We cannot create a transport rule with the action set to Distribution Group.

    It errors as follows :

The transport rule can't be created because group@domain.com, the recipient to be added by a rule action, is a distribution group. Transport rules can't add distribution groups to messages. To resolve this error, remove this recipient and specify a different one.

Since there are workarounds to resolve, Can this be fixed directly without any error.

  6. Bring the Outlook Details Template editor to Exchange Online

We use the Outlook Details Template editor currently available in the Exchange Toolbox on-prem to do custom field mapping. We would like to see this feature available to continue to be able to easily map these fields.

  7. Display name spoofing protection request

I'd like to see a feature whereby we can flag/block incoming external email which has a display name that matches the display name of an internal user. This would help stop the many emails we get where fraudsters have obtained staff names from LinkedIn etc. and have then created a free webmail account using their name, and then emailed staff attempting to ask them to make a bank transfer or other payment.

  8. Allow the online archive to auto map for shared mailbox

Create a CmdLet to switch On or Off visibility of the Online Archive for Shared Mailboxes in the Outlook client, when Users are given access via Security Group.

At the moment the only way Users will get an Online Archive for a Shared Mailbox is if they are explicitly added to the permissions of a mailbox. Or access the Shared mailbox via the Outlook Web App.

If you are given Full Mailbox access to a Shared Mailbox by being a member of a Security Group, the Online Archive will not be displayed when the Shared mailbox is attached to the…

  9. By default, allow all Global Administrators to "Open another mailbox..."

Occasionally, I (as a Global Administrator) will need to access a users mailbox. Currently, I have to add myself under their permissions to open their mailbox within OWA. I would like MS to turn this access on by default. If you're a Global Administrator, you should have access to everything by default, even users mailboxes and OneDrive.

  11. Allow Admins to Disable Clutter Notifications

Many of our users receive automatic system notifications suggesting that they enable the new Clutter feature. While this feature is valuable, we need to control the flow of information regarding features and usage of Office 365. We make announcements for things like this in accordance with our own training schedules so that we can provide the right guidance for our users. Please allow us to prevent these automated notifications for Clutter and for any features that may use these types of notifications in the future. Thanks!

  13. For the Dynamic Distribution list allow a wild card to be used when defining a custom attribute as the criteria

When creating an on premise Dynamic Distribution Group a wild card may be used when using a custom attribute as the criteria. However, this is not possible when the DDG is in the cloud. As per support, it is a current limitation. For example, a custom attribute is used to define Location IDs and the IDs are assigned based on functional area. It would be advantageous to create a DDG to use the attribute so that anyone with an employee id of 50* is placed in the Sales group.

  14. Add wildcard feature to making searching easier in the Office 365 admin center

We have a couple of clients that have over 1000 accounts and 200 dist lists. It would be so much easier to find what we are looking for if there was a wildcard feature in the search bar, such as * or %

  15. Allow external LDAP access to O365 / AzureAD

Since O365 can contain 'cloud only' accounts that only exist at O365 (and some customers may want/need it to stay that way), there is no way to set up LDAP authentication for external third party services / applications / appliances to allow users to utilize their O365 accounts to authenticate because there is no means of connecting directly to o365 / Azure AD from outside.

In a scenario where we are connecting to a customer's local AD via LDAP from the internet, we would create special firewall rules to allow only specific IP addresses access in to LDAP (or potentially…

  16. Office365 - Multiple Domains - Shared mailboxes with common start (ie sales@)

Office365 - Multiple Domains - Shared mailboxes with common start (ie sales@).

When you have a single office365 installation that has multiple domains, it is not possible to create the same prefix of an email (ie before the @ sign) for shared mail boxes on the different domains.

For example, if I want to have sales@ on Domain1.com, Domain2.com and Domain3.com, I could successfully create sales@Domain1.com but when I try to create sales@Domain2.com I get an error about the alias already being used.

This has been touched on a number of sites, here is one:

    https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Office-365/Shared-mailbox-with-the-same-email-local-part-can-t-be-created/m-p/258227

    There is a work…

  17. Welcome e-mail at Mailbox activation

Permit the admin of a tenant to set a welcome message, who will be the first in every new mailbox.
Permit to set different welcome messages per messaging domain and per user languages.
Permit to join documents to the welcome email (terms & conditions, confidentiality rules, etc.).
Permit have html formated welcome message.

  18. Implement New-AddressRewriteEntry / Email Address Rewriting

Why has this been removed from Exchange Online? It has been in the on-premise solution for years ...

Address rewriting modifies email addresses of senders and recipients in messages that enter or leave your organization through an Edge Transport server.

  19. Give us the ability to provide read only access to entire mailboxes

We need feature parity between Domino and Exchange online for providing access control to user and shared mailboxes. In Domino I can grant access permissions at the mailbox level. In exchange online I can only grant full access at the mailbox level. I can grant specific access at the folder level in Exchange online but this is a pointless feature in our environment and extremely tedious to implement.

  20. Enable Auditing for Mailbox Rules

Auditing should include Mailbox Rules. Currently auditing doesn't show who created, edited, or deleted a rule. This is critical in shared mailboxes where multiple people have access to the mailbox and any number of them have this ability.
