Any update on this? Looking specifically to display Mobile phone from the mobile AD attribute that is already being pushed to Azure AD and does display in other areas of Office 365 such as My Account > Personal Info

Instead of seeing the tel number, skype address. Wouldn't it be nice that we just hover over the name and we can start a skype session or make a phone call? Just as in skype.
At that moment we don't need to see a field 'skype' with the sip address. And that space can be replaced with a custom field. -

Portal should contain more options for admins to push out training / on-boarding campaigns. Allow users and to have access to training using a better layout.

For those that want to sync custom AD attributes to the delve profile, you can use the Bulk User Profile Updater tool that's a part of the SharePoint Patterns and Practices bundle.
https://github.com/SharePoint/PnP/tree/master/Samples/Core.BulkUserProfileUpdater
It's annoying that it's not built in yet, but atleast this is a useful work around.

This is huge! WE need to be able to sync our mobile phone numbers from AD and have them show on the users profile card. Without that information that profile us useless to anyone with users that move around.

I see IN THE PLANS, but what is in the plans?
For us being able to define what is under each section of the profile would be great.
eg: Contact Information > Contact Me
we want to:
1. add DID/Extension numbers.
2. move Home phone to a new subheading called Additional Contact so Home Phone, Private Mobile and Emergency Contact are clearly separated from work contact information and thus used only in appropriate circumstances. Also there should be way to add the Private Mobile, DID and Extensions Numbers with and icon and actionable links, so they are not just a string, but behave like the inbuilt phone number fields.

My organisation is starting its O365 migration and I can't believe how bad the level of AD attributes integration and the customisation of field to display are in SPO and Delve. Is there any hope in the near future ?

Is there any update when Active Directory Field Company and City would be avaiable in SPO/Delve?

The question was about admin defined fields that show up on every user profile. Will admins be able to pre-define these fields ?

Provide Active-Directory-Field Company in SharePoint Profile as connected Term
In TermStore under People, there are TermSets Location, Department and Job Title, provided by Sync-Tool. Please add the field Company the same way. -

Whew such a step down from previous SharePoint profiles... Also noticed that even if you can show some profile properties, they are not clickable for easy searching like in previous SP... What a mess

What is going on with this? We simply want to see the Company user attribute in Delve/SPO and can't. It's populated and visible in Exchange 365. Why can't this be mapped to the Delve/SPO?

Interested in having the ability for a user to add a list of Skills/Interests to their delve profile - and have other users be able to endorse or +1 the person's skill value. This should be searchable through people search to find someone with a particular skill or interest.

I agree, when updating the about me section, it is confusing as there are customization buttons, includng an 'edit code' option, however when saved- it appears as plain text. This would be helpful to allow the customization to appear, including HTML updates such as adding hyperlinks.
secondly, it would be great if you could add and customize fields in Delvefor a truly personalized experience.

Combine People Profile pages with Outlook People View so that related messages are populated from the contact.

I think this is a real killer, so restrictive currently. On Premise we have a massive amount of data auto populated into profiles from HR systems and Finance and we need this within SPO. Currently we are restricted to 18 (Used to be 21 but Claims cannot be touched) fields that we can re-use (apparently, I've tried Phonetics and for what ever reason they are not going to Azure, only display seems to but still doesn't show in SPO) but this is ridiculous. You can create as many custom attributes as you want and write some CSOM code to directly import to these but it's tiresome and long winded. We want the simple solution of creating a custom prop, then mapping to any AD field we want. Until then Delve people profiles are a waste of time imo.

It would also be useful to have some fields not be encoded. What's the point of having a HTML field that then renders in an encoded format so you can actually see the HTML. Our client wants to be able to add links to corporate "Employee Profile" documents (stored elsewhere on the intranet) on an employee's profile page. This does not appear to be possible at the moment. If you want people to use Delve it needs to be customiseable and flexible.
If we can't have complete flexibility (e.g. web parts) then a compromise might be to have a "More about me" section which an administrator could add HTML and hyperlinks to. Hyperlinks could then include placeholder values that are replaced at run-time by other User Profile properties. e.g. a link like "/searchresults.aspx?ContentType=EmployeeProfile&Name={EmployeeName} would turn into a link to search results page about the curretnly view profile.
Looking forward to some new features in Delve, it does have potential.

You state that many of the fields can be displayed in the "About me" box. How do you set this up?
