Let us use the TAB key in Word Online
This is a pretty basic feature request: let us tab to do basic formatting in Word Online documents. Using a table isn't efficient when only one or two rows of separate, organized text are needed. This is a basic feature (it was a typewriter feature-so its been around for a while).
The bigger request is to bring the editors in the Office Online applications up to par with their competitors. For example, Google and Apple support liberal tab use.590 votes -
User Profile Mobile Phone Number
I'm surprised this is still a thing, but if you populate the mobile phone attribute for users in AD, you apparently can (though not in my experience) get said attribute to sync to your Azure AD profile. However, it DOES NOT sync to your SharePoint online/Delve profiles.
This is a fairly annoying thing that's been on people's radar for about 3 years, apparently. I found a powershell script that is supposed to get around the issue, but so far I haven't gotten it to work.

Enable reports to view the usage of Visio Pro.
I would like to see if users who have a visio Pro license are actually using this license. There is no option at the moment. This would be very welcome in the report area.

Group By Content Type in SHarePoint Lists and Libraries
With the Old Look and Feel you could make a little tweak with SP Designer and get a list or library to group by content type:

Now when I look at the same view in the New Library look and Feel it It groups by the GUID of the Content Type, not the text.

'Shared With’ column does not reflect current state of sharing status
Within an Office 365 Group document library (SPO site), the ‘Shared With’ column does not reflect current state of sharing status.
Here are some examples:
1. When you remove a user’s permission from an item in a Group the ‘Shared With’ column still shows that it is shared with that user.
2. When you copy a file in a Group the ‘Shared With’ column retains the original users listed even though it is no longer shared with them.Acknowledge this is by design:

Allow for British DD/MM/YYYY format when using OneDrive/Excel Online
When creating documents on Excel offline, as a British user the standard date format is always set to DD/MM/YYYY. When this is then uploaded to OneDrive and people work on the document online it automatically displays the date as the american MM/DD/YYYY, which causes all sorts of issues, especially with formulas and especially if people are entering dates once the document is online.

Planner App file attachment default save location setting per plan
Add a setting to the planner application to be able to set the default location attachment files are saved. Currently attachments uploaded are saved in the root folder of the SP site that hosts the plan. If the plan was created thru a Teams Channel the attachments get saved in the root Documents folder of the Team which results in a mess especially across multiple channel plans.

For Word create a "Basename only" field option for the FileName Field
Desired functionality:
- Open a blank document in MS Word.
- Save it as "MyTempReport.docx"
- MS Word menu > Insert [tab] > Text [group] > Quick Parts > Field ...
- From "Field Names" choose "FileName".
- In the Field Options area there should be an additional checkbox described as something like
File basename only (without ".docx" file extension )
. - With the option selected the resulting field will be "MyTempReport".

Password manager as Office 365 app!
I think that some passwords management like as 1password or LastPass should be included as own Microsoft app in Office 365.
All companies thinking about giving access for their services out of Office 365 world (don't live in bubble please :D, excel is not right way for everything) to employers.
I think that solution from Microsoft in one "eco-system" should be the best!

MS Teams: Right to create breakout rooms needed beyond organizer
It is great that Teams Breakout rooms are finally here and will make my life as moderator for virtual trainings and workshops a whole lot easier.
However, there will be instances where a person other than the person who send the original meeting invite (aka meeting organizer) needs the right to create such breakout rooms. Therefore the possibility should be provided that the meeting organizer can pass on the right to create and manage breakout rooms (similar to being able to switch people between the roles "presenter" and "participant" already).

Stop mangling URLs containing a # so we can link to bookmarked content in a page or PDF from an Office document
When you create a URL containing a bookmark reference, e.g. a '#', MS Office mangles this by replacing it with %20-%20 ... that is ' - '.
This problem is often encountered by users making extra effort to make it easier for people to find specific content. It is often used to refer to a specific page in a PDF document. But this 'feature' of Office is counter intuitive and counter productive.

URL shortener when sharing
when sharing links to documents, etc, the URL's are way too long.
Can you integrate something like bitly or another tool to make them less than the 208 characters that the last link I shared was.
The ideal place to offer this feature is when you are given the option to 'copy' the URL.

Add the "Manage Rules" Function in Conditional Formatting for Excel Online.
Now that conditional formatting is available in Excel Online, there is no way to view or edit the rules that are already in effect. Normally (offline) you can highlight a range of cells and then select "Manage Rules" from the Conditional Formatting drop down menu. As it is right now you can only clear all the rules or add new rules, but there is no way to modify existing rules or view the formulas for existing rules. This is very frustrating!

Allow delegates the ability to access Exchange Online Archive without Full Access permissions
When a user provides delegate access to calendar or folders, they should have the ability to apply the same permissions on their Exchange Online Archive without providing full access permissions for the delegate. When the permission is applied on the folder level of the Exchange Online Archive, it should be easy for the delegate to access the Exchange Online Archive in Outlook or Outlook Web App.

More ‘Smooth’ Effects
Video creation using powerpoint is quite good, but still is not as good as after effect of other video editor. Very unfortunate because it’s only less than a fraction of a second. We’ll be very happy if the smooth timing can be improved so we can create HQ video just rely on powerpoint.
