1 central location for corporate templates (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
1 central location for your corporate templates such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc. These templates can/may be maintained by a department like MarCom (Marketing and Communications).
When you are in an Office Group for example and click [New] at your library, you should have an option "Corporate". This option then should give you 'Which Corporate Template would you like to use?' giving the templates that MarCom provided.
Great idea, please make it work on all devices: online, pc, mac, ipad, etc.

We currently use Workgroup Templates but would really like to have these hosted on SharePoint instead.
Would like to echo the idea of having company image library available in the image search.
Old ClipArt Gallery let us deploy this for all our users including adding tags for searching/using images.
Great thing! In Powerpoint we usually need templates for different types of presentations (sales, technical...), template slides (concepts, diagrams, ...), and also pictures like key visuals and icons.
SharePoint as central location would fit very well.
I am trying to personalize a word template with user info like e-mail/phone. This info is already stored in the azure ad but is not available in the document properties when creating a word document via a template. So when there is going to be a central repository of templates make sure this also is available.
The best way to distribute published corporate to my opinion is through where a tab corporate template
templates should be store somewhere in sharepoint.
templates should be shown in Windows desktop apps, macOS, ios, Android and online editions

This is a must have feature. With Office 365 ploughing ahead, im very surprised that you still cannot define a SharePoint web location for Workgroup templates.

Just strange that you do have a view on the MS public templates, but can't assign your own templates in Online Office. You can store and use them in SharePoint.

There appear to be a couple of similar ideas in the uservoice tool for this. It would be great to have them consolidated
