Exchange Online change default calendar permissions on new users
When mailbox is generating at Exchange Online we need to have the possibility to set default calendar permissions from a template. With on-prem Exchange you can do it via Exchange Scripting Agent.

This is a huge pain. For new users we have to create remote mailboxes on-prem, wait for sync and mailbox creation, and then change the default calendar permission. So it changes the whole JML process to two step instead of just one.

Our clients are not technical enough to run powershell to change the default calendar permissions, so totally agree this needs to be made easier for the non technical to change the default new mailbox calendar permissions,

Yes, I strongly agree on this. A default calender profil should be set and applied for every new user

I agree, currently there is no way of changing new users' default calendar permission from 'AvailabilityOnly'.
Changing the Individual sharing policy in the Exchange admin center also doesn't do it.
