Customize the message of the NDR email notifications
We suggest you be able to customize the entire NDR notification message, remove headers and other content. We want to use a simpler email notification and send only a personalized message, easier and more useful for the user.
End user is not going to read the lengthy NDR and troubleshoot the mailflow.
There should be option to customize the NDR with single liner.
quite a big limitation here.
Any updates Microsoft?

While the newer NDR is clean and clear, users see it as an NDR and ignore it/don't read it. So while one can insert text into the message, the end user who receives it blames IT for a broken email system. Having the ability to have a custom message sent instead of the NDR for emails that are rejected by transport rules would allow for a more clear message to the end user resulting in taking proper action.
The default NDR is only helpful if there is a legitimate issue sending an email to us. It's pointless if we're rejecting their email purposefully, e.g. when they send to a noreply email address.
We don't want senders to know that "a custom mail flow rule created by an admin has blocked your message." We don't want to give them steps on "how to fix it" either.

Hi, can we get an option to customize the NDR, or atleast till then only to show the message that we have configured to be seen by the sender / receiver instead of such a long message? We can have the current view as optional.
I believe this would also be benefical to our Legal firm especially after an employee has left our firm. Our current procedure is to the disable the individual email account and stop the unmonitored mailbox from receiving any new mail --- legal purposes. If we had a customizable NDR I could direct the sender to contact our office for further assistance.
The NDR does help prevent and notify users but it' just to limited.

This would be a great option that we will definitely use to simplify the bounce message someone gets when he e-mails an employee that has left our company.

This would be extremely beneficial. The notification messages are way to long for the everyday user. They are nice for Admins.
