Ability to set default paste method
It would be great to have the ability to choose the default paste method (e.g. paste as values, transpose, etc.)
It would be particularly helpful for Powerpoint where I frequently have to either click Paste in the toolbar and select the desired format, or paste and then edit using the pop-up icon.
All that would be needed is an additional option in the paste menu that opens a window identical to the Paste Special menu, except that what you select will be applied to all subsequent pasted values (using cmd+v, or whatever hotkey) until the settings are cleared or changed.
That same idea would be fantastic for a number of other functions, such as: setting default Custom Sort settings.
An alternate solution could be to allow users to easily define keyboard shortcuts for most any function within the program. So I could select Paste Values and set the hotkey to cmd+option+v within Powerpoint.

My most valued improvement to Microsoft 365 (and Windows) would be if MS were to introduce a global "Shift-Ctrl-V" key combination which simply pasts as text. No options, no hovering menu or other bells and whistles. Just paste as plain ASCII text.
