First, have automatic updates for click to run office professional plus 2016. Second, please show those updates in the windows update list
I recently upgraded from office prof 2010 click to run which updated automatically and also showed the updates in the update list to office prof plus 2016 click to run in December 2017 and was worried when I did not see any updates in the update list for either machine, although one appeared to update automatically with no notification. So I updated manually. I went to the ms list and queried this and after a few replies was told that 1. there are no automatic updates for 2016 click to run (guess the one machine was a fluke) and 2. the only way to check whether there was an update was to go to some website since any update would not show up in any windows update list. This is really inconvenient and I hope it will be corrected soon. Now the only way to check if there is an update is to check manually for an update, go to a website to check whether you have the latest update and pray that no vital update is needed before you check again. You should also double check in control panel programs to see whether the date on the office package is the date that you updated, just in case. This is truly inconvenient compared to just looking at an update list either in settings or in control panel for installed updates. Please return to giving automatic updates and listing them in the updates list. Thank you.
