search drop down suggestion removal
Remove the drop down suggestion box of past searches, it is annoying and unhelpful as I almost never repeat a search. It pops up and covers the rest of the input boxes so you have to click away to remove it then click the box to search.
Often the search dropdown makes search unusable for me... clicking off to the side makes the drop down visually disappear but not actually disappear - so when I click on one of the first couple emails the system instead clicks on one of the first (invisible) drop down searches and clears what I'm actually trying to search.

Agree! This is completely unhelpful. At least provide an option to turn this feature off. Suggestion boxes are so obtrusive that I almost always click on one accidentally, which messes up the search I am actually trying to do.

Previous version of Outlook worked differently, instead of providing the useless list of search items, it automatically showed you filters such as From:, To:, and Subject:, so you could just type one or more words, then click the search box and voila, you could with one click add the filter. I agree that the new way of showing past searches is useless, but please bring back the old feature.
