New experience is not working with totals on the custom list view
I would like to modify custom list view with totals ,but there is no value for totals.

I agree. This broken use case will result in the inability for customers to upgrade to the new experience, because many of their views which are used by management will break.

In the classic view, the total will appear in bold at the top of the column. Modern experience should also support a similar UI experience.
