Teams - Security on Channels in a team
It would be helpful if we could apply security to channels in side a team.

If using MS Teams for a Project, there are usually some files which you would like to retain some confidentiality on. For example, risks, costs, etc. We have found a work around: Open in SharePoint > navigate to the channel folder > create a "Confidential" folder within it > change the permissions. Then when viewing in MS Teams, people without access cannot see the Confidential sub-folder.
If you changed the permission on the default Channel folder and viewed in MS Teams with an account that does not have rights MS Teams would enumerate the folder and the contents. Only when selecting a file to view it would MS Teams give you a permission error prompt.
This would make it much more easy to use and would avoid unnecessary duplication of files and conversations.
that would be a fantastic idea

In a huge multi-language company we would benefit from using different languages to communicate with different groups. Also some communication can contain a few IT-technical terms that are confusing for non-IT personnel. And vise versa.

This will move away from the "Ion or Out" simple security of Group sites. Better leave granular security to classic SharePoint.
I understand the whole group membership concept, however- there are always cased where a team needs to add some members to a specific channel, not the entire team.
