Specify Caller ID Name for Outbound Calls to PSTN in Skype for Business
The PowerShell New-CsCallingLineIdentity doesn't allow us to specify a Caller ID name, just a number.
I suggest that the New-CsCallingLineIdentity PowerShell cndlet allow us to specify a caller ID name and not just a number.
Currently, when our employees make a call using Skype for Business to a PSTN number, the called person sees "UNKNOWN NAME" in their caller ID. The number displayed is accurate - but a lot of phones will only display the name.
Before we migrated to SfB, our old telephony provider sent our company name as the Caller ID Name. Like when I get a call from Microsoft, it says "MICROSOFT".
"UNKNOWN NAME" puts our business in the same category as shady telemarketers and debt collectors. It is highly unprofessional.

I would really like for the ability to specify Outbound Caller ID. Lacking this feature (and a few others) is preventing us from using Skype For Business to replace some of our client's current PBX platforms.
I am sure that Microsoft wants to have a larger PBX market share and hope they will soon give us the ability to request CNAM database changes in their PBX.
Cellular service providers allow clients to make these changes when logged into their web portals, so Microsoft could do the same in the admin portal.
Any update to this question?
