Disable read receipt in Outlook Mobile
Outlook Mobile automatically sends read receipts, even if you really don't want it sends. I read it's an Active Sync issue, but there is some email mobile client around that disables read receipts.
Automatic sending of read receipts is absolutely unsuited for business use, Please correct that.

The option “Don’t send read receipts for messages read on devices that use ActiveSync" is off by default for Exchange Online users. There appears to be no way to enable this organisation-wide for our users, so users are inadvertently sending read-receipts (including in response to spam email) when accessing email through their mobile devices
Please fix this! neither the native iOS app or the Mobile Outlook app honor the online setting to NOT respond to "Read Receipts"... Please get this fixed.

Seriously Microsoft, fix this atrocity. I’ve had it to to here with these spamming twits trying to sell me business contacts asking for an update because they got a read receipt from the stupid app.
Any update on this? My spam mail is not working like it used to, and much has been tracked back to my mobile device sending out unapproved read receipts when I delete the junk mail. I have it turned off in Outlook but it remains in Mobile! HELP.
This is a deal breaker. Need to switch. Checking out BlueMail.
I have uninstalled the app until this issue is addressed, and will be using BlueMail instead, which allows for automatic read receipts to switched off.
