Rename default tenant
We need to have the option of being able to rename the default domain so that it reflects on all SharePoint private site collections.

This is a feature request right from real life. Companies change their names and therefore also tenants and Sharepoint websites.

Either allow domain rename or allow the domain to be masked in SharePoint Online

I agree, it should be given a priority on all the other features in O365 if Microsoft cares about the business and its changing nature
Can Microsoft confirm the status of this functionality request and whether it will be on a published roadmap? The ability to rename or mask the tenant name in URLs is essential for many businesses and the current suggestion to move all content to a new tenant is time and cost prohibitive to say the least. This missing capability represents an unreasonable burden for those who may need to re-brand.
This is a HUGE one for us right now. We changed our operating name, and it turns out to change the URL that's displayed in the tenant name for sharepoint sites, One drive, etc - a new tenant has to be created, and the data manually moved. We decided to only stick with e-mail, but even that requires third party tools, and is much more complex than it needs to be.
this is a huge one for me - company name changed from original O365 tenant, but shared files still show old tenant name in URL and can't change - annoying

We are considering a name change as part of our corporate Rebranding effort. It would be great to have tools in place that make this feasible for OneDrive folders on all our computers and all the links in SharePoint.

Totally agree, many companies change their names or get acquired in today's business so changing tenant's name is vital. #renametenant
